Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Carpenterji ("Platform"), operated by DXONet LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of updates.

2. Service Description

Carpenterji connects customers with qualified carpenters for custom furniture, repairs, and home improvement services. We provide a platform to submit requests, receive quotes, and manage projects. However, we do not directly perform carpentry work — we are an intermediary service.

3. Consultation & Visiting Charges

• Consultation Fee: Rs. 250/- for location inspection and consulting visits
• This fee is non-refundable once the carpenter visits your location
• The consultation fee will be adjusted against the final project cost if you proceed with the project
• Visiting charges are payable before the inspection visit commences

4. Payment Terms & Milestones

Payment Structure

All projects are structured with a two-milestone payment system:

• Milestone 1 (Advance): 50% of total project cost, payable upon scope agreement
• Milestone 2 (Completion): 50% of total project cost, payable upon project completion

Payment Methods

We accept payments through:

• Credit/Debit Cards (via secure Razorpay gateway)
• UPI (Unified Payments Interface)
• Bank transfers for direct payments

Payment Timelines

The advance payment must be made before work begins. The final payment is due upon project completion. Failure to pay may result in project suspension or cancellation.

5. Scope of Work & Modifications

Finalization of Scope

After the initial consultation and quote, a formal Scope of Work document will be prepared and shared for your review. This document details:

• Specific furniture items or repairs to be completed
• Materials to be used and their specifications
• Project timeline and delivery schedule
• Total project cost and payment milestones
• Warranty coverage and terms

No Changes Post-Signing

Once you sign the Scope of Work document, no changes in scope, materials, or items are permitted. Any modifications requested after signing will be treated as a separate project with a new quote and scope.

Execution & Delivery Limitation

The carpenter's execution and delivery will be limited strictly to the Scope of Work as agreed. Any work beyond the scope is the customer's responsibility and may incur additional charges at the carpenter's discretion.

6. Warranty

• Warranty Period: 6 months from the date of project completion
• Warranty covers manufacturing defects and poor craftsmanship only
• Normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, or environmental factors are not covered
• Warranty repairs must be requested within the 6-month period
• After 6 months, any repairs or modifications are chargeable

7. User Responsibilities

As a user of Carpenterji, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information in your requests
• Be available for consultation and inspection visits
• Make payments on time according to the agreed schedule
• Provide safe access to your property for work execution
• Not engage in fraudulent or misleading activities
• Treat carpenters with respect and professionalism

8. Carpenter Responsibilities

Carpenterji ensures that all carpenters on our platform:

• Are verified professionals with relevant experience
• Adhere to the agreed Scope of Work
• Complete work within the committed timeline
• Maintain professional conduct and safety standards
• Provide warranty as outlined in the Scope of Work
• Respond to warranty claims within 48 hours

9. Prohibited Activities

Users are prohibited from:

• Circumventing payments or using fraudulent payment methods
• Contacting carpenters directly to avoid platform fees
• Posting defamatory, abusive, or false reviews
• Attempting to access unauthorized areas of the platform
• Using bots or automated tools without permission
• Violating intellectual property rights

10. Liability & Dispute Resolution

Carpenterji is an intermediary platform. While we verify carpenters, we are not responsible for:

• Quality of work performed by carpenters (subject to warranty terms)
• Delays or project timeline changes due to unforeseen circumstances
• Disputes between customers and carpenters over project specifics

In case of disputes, parties are encouraged to resolve matters directly. Carpenterji will mediate if requested, but mediation decisions are final and binding.

11. Termination & Cancellation

Users can cancel their accounts anytime. However, cancellation of projects is subject to the following conditions:

• Cancellations made before the carpenter visits: Full refund of advance payment
• Cancellations after the first task milestone (consultation/visiting charges): No refund of advance payment
• Cancellations after work begins: No refund of any payments received

We reserve the right to terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activities.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on Carpenterji, including logos, text, images, and code, is the property of DXONet LLC or licensed partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carpenterji and DXONet LLC are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits or business interruption
• Data loss or corruption
• Any damages exceeding the total amount paid for services

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically the state of Maharashtra (Mumbai). Both parties agree to the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai for any legal proceedings.
